HI!!! I HAVE A OLD HOSPITAL BILL THAT WAS  SENT TO a collection agency..  AN I GOT IN CONTACT WITH THE BILLING WITH THE HOSPITAL  AN ASKED ABOUT CLEARING UP THE DEPT .. AN I WAS TOLD THAT THE DEPT WOULD BE REMOVED FROM COLLECTION WITH THE COLLECTION  AGENCY. SO WOULD THAT BE POSITIVE 4 ME ARE SHOULD I BE ASKING FOR PFD? SO WOULD THAT BE POSITIVE TOWARDS MY CREDIT SCORE ARE IS IT STILL GOING 2 STAY POSTED ON MY CREDIT REPORT AS A DEPT PAID? JUST NEEDING  HELP BEFORE I MAKE THE PAYMENT!!!!!

You'd want to ask for a PFD in writing from the CA. While some OCs can pull a debt back from the CA, others promise to but don't and the end result is a paid collection reporting. Per FICO scoring, it doesn't matter if you owe $0 or $10,000, the damage is equal.
