Re: NFCU and Cap 1 secured - what now?

Wow thank you this is worth saving as I take notes. Like I asked in my post...what now after the 2 secured cards...I am glad I asked about being added as an AU. My husband has other cards that are older but they're around 8k SL and I was shooting high for the 15k limit hoping it'd help my utilization like you described. I didn't know the Victoria Secret tradeline would still be of help - good to know. I just figured it was bad they closed it on me. That's great to know NFCU doesn't disregard AU's accounts that will help my particular situation in the future then if I have my husband add me to his card I mentioned or even maybe an older one with a little lower limit. One or the other and see what it does I guess. I am sitting tight not applying for anything else but I'm also reading and re-reading so much on here that I want to make sure I am on point and missing nothing no angles. I know there are no tricks etc but I want to feel like I'm coming back swinging after the past 6+ years in the rabbit hole. Thank you for the detailed post it's going in my notes. 👏

I'm sure you will be fine, at that rate. Educating oneself is a good step to being able to walk the path towards financial health assuredly. You can learn early to build positive habits and avoid some of the pitfalls associated with building one's credit profile.
