Need Help with Account in Collection

Ok so when we first found out about this collection we didnt think it was his because when I called without an account number the collection agency couldnt find his name or anything even by using his social. So I called Experian to say that this wasnt his account and put it into dispute. Turns out the collection agency has the wrong social and also has my husbands old last name. This was a couple weeks back. Well I just got an email from Experian saying that the collection has been deleted!!!! So is there any chance they can come and bite him in the butt again or are we good?

When an item is deleted due to a dispute, before it can be reinserted, the CRA must notify you within 3 days and take precautions to certify it is true and accurate.

Doesn't mean this always happens, but this is how it is supposed to happen.

If it is paid and beyond CRTP, I wouldn't worry too much. But do keep an eye on reports, at least twice per year.
