Need Help with CA - Refusing to PFD - Advice???

Hi guys,

Has anyone heard of "Meyer Christian & Associates"?

I'm at my wits end with them. I had an old vet bill from July 2007 go to these guys. The amount is $258. I have sent them 6 PFDs and either have gotten no response or have gotten the usual "we will only update your account as paid -- we will not remove".

It won't be out of SOL until July 2011 and I really want to get this taken care of. I have tried sending PFD's to the owner of the company as well. I've only heard back from the collections rep and both times he has refused to delete.

Any advice/help???

Will they sue me for $258 if I refuse to pay them unless they delete??

I would pay the full amount just to get it over with and then start a GW letter wriitng campaign. 6 PFD attempts is enough IMO.

They can sue you over a penny if they want to. Of course that's over simplifying but they might sue over $258. Only they know that.

Just my 2 cents.

Have contacted the vet regardingthe bill?  If have the $$ offer to pay them in full if the will recall the account from the collection agency.
