Hello .. I have been reading the boards for awhile now but have never posted. I'm looking for some advice/help on a few items I just can't seem to get to shake off my reports.
Applied Bank
* EX only reporting charge off amount (TU and EQ have dropped thru dispute process)
AAC (collection for HSBC)
* EX, TU, EQ all reporting as "Paid Collection"
* They would not accept PFD, but I did pay a "settlement" amount in order for it to at least reflect as a PAID COLLECTION (we are trying for a home loan right now & needed it cleared up as best I could get it)
* Is there a way to get this removed from EX, TU, EQ?
HSBC (account was "sold" to AAC - above)
* EX and TU reporting as "Paid" and show comment as "Dispute Resolved - Customer Disagrees"
AFNI (Sprint collection)
* EX, TU, EQ all reporting
* Paid settlement offer - they would not accpet PFD under any circumstances (tried for almost 6 months)
I have a few medical collections that have been removed from TU and EQ, but EX has still refused to remove even though I paid the balances in full. EX is reporting them as "paid collections". I've read about the HIPPA process, but I'm not sure if this would be the way to go since the accounts are already paid and EX is showing them as paid.
From what date (when looking at the CR) does the SOL begin? I'm just wondering if I should let some of this sit and fall off on its own?
Thanks!!
I have been rebuilding my credit since March 2012 and with the help of reading everyone's posts I have gone from:
EQ: 584, EX: 555, TU: 548 (lender pull 3/2012)
EQ: 623, EX: 563, TU: 627 (lender pull 5/2012)
I am surprised that Afni didn't just delete after you paid the settlement. I also had a Sprint collection with them. Tried several times to get them to do a PFD, but they refused. They offered to settle a $638 balance for $50, so I paid it. After about a month or so, they just deleted it from my CR. I was going to try and GW them after I paid it, but I didn't have a chance. It was scheduled to be removed 7/2013. Have you tried GW'ing them?
My question focuses on the charge-off that was deleted by two of the three CRAs as a result of a "dispute."
What was the issue in the dispute, and what was the determination that led to the deletion by the two CRAs?
If you dispute, even if only through one CRA, and the finding in that dispute required deletion of the information, it is not sufficient for the furnisher to only report those results to the CRA through which the dispute was filed.
FCRA 623(b)(1)(D) requires the furnisher of the disputed information to additionally "report those results to all other credit reporting agencies to which the person furnished the information.."
Well, to be honest I just paid the settlement offer from them in April (just last month). I hadn't thought about GWing them .. that's a good idea. I was just going off what their very rude customer service reps told me. I'll see if it drops off this next month or two and if not I'll start my GWing campaign ![]()
Robert - I'm not sure I can answer that question. I had done my initial online round of disputes with all 3 CRAs, and as an outcome of my online dispute TU and EQ dropped that account, but EX is still reporting it. I will go thru my documents if I can see what reason TU or EQ gave for removing it - I honestly cannot remember what it said.

Does this process work for judgments as well? TU and EQ removed mine but EX keeps reporting and verifying it. How would I go about getting it removed from EX? how can I find out the reason behind why TU and EQ removed it? do I give them a call? when each sent me their results, it just said "outcome: removed" with no explanation behind it. I sent all three the MOV letters. Please help me? thanks.
