Hello, I need some help here.I'm getting ready to tackle my past problems (31,000.00 in dept) I just need to know where to start.I'll try to keep it short and simple. My score is at 588 from experian, nothing is on my public records (I have many other problems but will start here) and crazy as this will sound I haven't made a car or motorcycle payment in about 2 1/2 years! I still have possesion of them both and they only hounded me twice for the car while I was not at home and haven't heard from them since not even by mail. anyways I want to know where to start. The car is still with the OC on my report and it states it as a CO. while my bike was bought by a CA a couple of times. they have never came after the bike besides letters in the mail from CA's. I do have some money saved and am ready to move forward. please help and ask me any questions that you need to be able to guide me through this. Here are some quick questions while I promise to have more =) Thank you in advance
1. What do I take care of first? car or bike?
2. Is it possible to get the OC off of my credit report along with the CA?

Which can you PIF?

Possible? Yes. Likely? Probably not at this time.

Well I can't afford to PIF the car or the bike what I owe the OC but I can afford to pay what the CA has asked for in a letter on the bike. I owe 14,000 on the car and 7,000 on the bike and since the car is a charge off I'm going to focus on the bike first I think. But the CA has asked for 4,500 on the bike and I can afford that. I've been doing alot of reading and know I will have to send a dept validation to the CA that has made me that offer because they aren't even on my credit report. But the last CA that sent me a offer when I didn't have the money is on my credit report along with the OC for the bike. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I dug myself a good hole!
So do I send a letter to all of the Credit bureaus before I send one to the CA for dept validation?
At minimum, DV the CA reporting.
I would then consider DV'ing the CA currently trying to collect and then offering a pay for not reporting letter.
Sidewinder thank you for all your help!!!
I hate to keep asking silly questions but do I need to send anything to the Credit bureaus before I send DV to the CA's? Thank you so much ...this forum has been wonderful
