Sounds like you want to get the account from the original lender — Synchrony Bank — deleted from your reports, right? Paying the collections agency won't do that for you. I advise you to pay the collections agency and wait for them to delete their account. Then, start a massive GW campaign to get Synchrony Bank to remove their account from your reports.

Are you serious? I wouldn’t even know how to craft that. What would be the timeline for something like that. In all honesty I have 3 accounts from them that lapses at the same time with smaller debts attached.
I can't gauge the amount of time, my friend.
You would have to send a GW to every address you can find for Synchrony multiple times until you get the account removed. There are many recent posts from users on the GW sucess they had with Synchrony.
I get that you want to get on with your life, but lenders are not going to remove negative accounts just because you paid them or the collecitons agency. They are bounded by credit reporting laws, but that, of course, does not mean that they can't make a few exceptions.
