Re: Next Steps in the Rebuild Process?

That may be a little under what Disco will accept - as I recall, my Disco cards were approved using an EQ pull, and a friend I’m helping rebuild from a recent BK7 was declined for a secured Disco with a 599 EQ. Try the others that @Remedios suggested in addition to Navy. If you have to use OpenSky, there’s no harm in it and getting even six months’ worth of payment history on your record can make a big difference in scores and approval odds. It’s a secured and locked-in card - no CLIs or any frills - but it’ll build history and improve scores and that’s all that matters. Do it right and before you know it you’ll qualify for much bigger and better things!

Re: Next Steps in the Rebuild Process?

Thanks so much Everyone.

If my navy recon (I applied and was denied for unsecured cash rewards) is also denied I’m going to open a secured.

One final question:

AMEX. Do you think I have a shot with Amex in a gold or platinum l. Here is the situation:

I had a platinum back in 2014 but was put under FR and didn’t send the information in so it was closed. Good payment history and very good spend.

I have been an AU on my brothers platinum (now gold) I account for over 50% of the spend (around 30k annually). I also pay Amex directly from my online profile and the payments clear my account.

I was thinking maybe if AMEX denies me to send a letter in an request a recon “putting a very strong emphasis” on my relationship with American Express since 2014.

What do you think?

Thanks everyone!
