I just DV the Ca----

What do I do with the OC on my credit report with balance $0, Purchased by another lender.

I paid in full with a Collection attorney on one and the other I paid a CA off?

Re: OC question

I agree that if you remove a CA or Charge off, but take an AAoA hit, it is more than worth it.  FICO is only a part of credit.  And when it comes to CO and CA, it is not the lead determining factor.

A 700 with NO DEROGS is better than a 750 with past CA and CO.

Re: OC question

If the debt was paid or settled, then all you can do with the OC is to send them a GW letter.

Re: OC question

The OC will remain unless you send a GW. Be careful trying to GW an OC because even getting a CO deleted off your report because it might result in a score decrease after your AAOA is recalculated. You have to consider account history is a large factor in computing your FICO.

Re: OC question

Personally I would take the hit to my AAoA if I could get the OC to delete a CO.  That is just my personal preference though.
