After my 1st dispute to the CRA's, they removed all of my old Positive tradelines. I guess they remove those when they are beyond 7 years too? I know I certainly wouldn't request that they remove those.
Thoughts?
The CRAs do both credit report exclusions and credit report deletions.
Credit report exclusions dont actually delete information from your creidt file, they prevent the CRA from including derogs in credit reports they issue after expiration of the exclusion period for that type of adverse information.
Deletion occurs either because information, positive or negative, is deleted by the party who furnished the information ot the CRA, OR because an OC account has been closed for approx 10ísh years, and the CRA chooses to arbirearily delete the information to fee up database space.
If the OC account was not closed for an extended period and was deleted, it was most likely not deleted by the CRA, but rather deleted by the OC.

No they stay around for up to 10 years post close. If you disputed something on them they usually just disappear they wont verify closed older accounts. You need these for your AAoA.

@Anonymous's what I thought too! The better for my AAOA, but I think they actually were right @ 10 years ago so this makes sense, but unfortunate that those positive lines can't remain. I have been good with my credit since I was 18, but that one period from 2011-2012 is where all of my baddies are coming from. I was out of work, and working part-timers just to get by. Just wish those older tradelines would stay so my entire story can reflect positively with just a bad couple of years in there. ![]()
