One main c/o settled for less with 1099-c did i stir up the nest ?

This was a charge off account was opened 5 years ago well in 2019 it updated to settled for less and helped my score.

well now I'm trying to have it deleted.  Since i filed my 1099-c and paid all the debt off ...... but my question is.  Since it hasn't reported since 2019. If i does decide to update since i tried to dispute it will it cause me any problems ?

also what's the odds of them not certifying it and it getting deleted

Absolutely. Disputing a negative account that has not updated in awhile can cause a score drop sometimes a significant score drop depending on the rest of your profile. You should have sent a goodwill letter rather then disputing the account.

And, the cancellation of debt via a 1099-c does not require them to delete the derogatory reporting. Disputing it was probably not appropriate in this instance.

I am not seeing what you are wanting to dispute or why you think it should be deleted, did I miss something?

What you posted looks like the account went delinquent in 2017 so you have 4 more years before it can be deleted due to age.

Just because a lender writes off a debt and sends you a 1099c doesn't erase the account history....

You might want to get rid of the personal info in your post.
