Hi All!
Wanted to share my experience with Online Information Services. I had a rental home collection with them for $10k. I did call to try to negotiate and they said the OC didn't authorize them to take any less then the full balance. However, they did say if I paid the 10K they would delete.
I decided to contact the property management company and negotiate with them. Finally heard back from them today and they settled for 35% of the balance, contacted OIS and told them to accept the 3500 and told me to call and pay them. They confirmed the new balance, and said that after 30 days they will delete from my reports!
Also got an update from a medical collection. The original crediter pulled it back and accepted my financial assistance letter from the hospital. I should be down to one last collection which is also a medical collection from the same time I had the financial assistance and same hospital stay. The billing department working on this one is awful. Made me fax it over to them and its been almost 40 days and I've resent the letter several times and they still cant find it.
Not giving up though!! Down from 15 collections! I have one that refused to delete but shows as Paid in full. Will try to good will later.
My scores have flucuated all over the place from starting out at 487 to sitting around 640ish but as things have been coming off or updating as paid it has dropped my score.
Open accounts - auto loan - amex delta $1K - Blaze $1,100 and local CU at $1,500
Grats to all your success
