Re: a PFD Twist - Example Letter

Yes they do.  You use statement laser checks.  6-7 point font uses about 2/3 of the back of check.  Do not worry about any "do not write below this line" as it does not affect anything.

I will post an image of what one of these look like for your review.  This will be of a successful settlement with TU/TXU Electric in Texas.  I'll get it posted sometime tonight if I can.

Multiple Accounts - One CA

@Anonymous wrote:
I am writing PFD letters to Alliance One in Seattle. They have 8 different collection accounts on my credit report. I'm not sure whether I should write one letter with regard to all the accounts, or 8 different letters. Any advice is appreciated!

I never saw a reply to this question and I basically have the same issue.

Thanks!!

Re: PFD Example Letter

Great Letter!!  I actually just used this letter at the beginning of last month.  I received a letter from the collection agency within 2 weeks agreeing to the terms in the letter.  I sent in the amount I agreed to pay and I ordered my new credit report and they had taken the Collection account off my report.  Now if I can get these inquiries off my report.

Re: PFD Example Letter

I just got off the phone with my CA, im trying to get a PFD on my HSBC account and there superviser said that HSBC will not do this.. but you can pay in full, then dispute it to be removed from all 3 credit places.. HSBC will not reply back and after 30 days.. all 3 places will remove it.. because HSBC didnt reply back after you disputed this claim..

Is this correct?? SHould i just send a letter first.. before paying them in fulll !!!

Anyone have any luck with HSBC and doing a PFD?

thanks

Re: PFD Example Letter

My account is in collections, but has not been reported to the CA. Should I still send them some type of letter stating I will send funds if you promise not to report account to CA?

Re: PFD Example Letter

I recently took the advice on the forum and sent a Pay for delete letter to Express.  For Which I have a 173.00 dollar collections.  I basically used the sample delete letter that is here on the forum.  After a few weeks I just received a letter in reply.  It says

"thank you for your request for further validation of your above mentioned account.  Enclosed please find an account statement prepared with information  provided to us by the prior creditor.  Please contact me so that we can work toward resolving this matter."

So basically she is confirming my debt and makes no mention of Paying for deletion.  What are my best options at this point.  Send another letter or just pay the collection?  Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you!
