PFD letter ignored

I sent a PFD letter (the one that's popular here) to a CA, and I didn't get a response.  I did get the signature card back.  I offered the full amount, not a settlement.  So what's the next step?  Do I send it again?

Re: PFD letter ignored

I actually have the same question. I'm ready to start paying off this debt but at the same time I want it all removed from y credit report. Should I give them more time to respond or call them to see if they will agree to the terms in the letter and send out a letter stating once the account is paid in full they will remove it from my credit report?

Any help on this matter would be great. My repayment plan starts this week.

Thanks

Re: PFD letter ignored

Try faxing it and include the CMRRR number on it.

I take it you either DV'ed this or know it is yours?

Re: PFD letter ignored

Don't send them $ without an agreement.

As soon as you send $1 you will reset the SOL and they will sue. Payment plans and PFD together are a alot more work- but well worth it if you can get it.

Re: PFD letter ignored

Thanks for the reponse. The real question is... Do I call them to see if they will send me a paper agreement or do I just continue to send them PFD's until they respond?

Re: PFD letter ignored

You may want to contact the OC and let them know their CA is not responding to your correspondence.

You may also want to try Fax or Email. But get the agreement on their letterhead.

Re: PFD letter ignored

I will try the original creditor...I never bothered to DV because I know the debt's mine and the CA info was given to me by the OC.  What can I expect from the OC, does anyone know?

Re: PFD letter ignored

NEVER talk to a CA!!!!!  you can send a PFD to the OC. You should always send a DV to any CA before thinking about paying!!!!

How old is the debt? is it past SOL?

Re: PFD letter ignored

So I messed up, is there any hope ? I just sent a letter req that Cap One who bought out Onyx  delete from CRAs the CO's along with letter I sent a MO paying full amount Smiley SadI thinking now I should have requested DV first ...  it was for such a small amount ($76) I just wanted it off my Credit Report, seems crappy, paid fine for the length of loan waited for what the final payment would be never received anything till it showed up on our credit report ... Hopefully it's not to late what should I do next or will I just have to grin and bear it
