I have 3 baddies on my report. I have finally got my utilization down and am about to begin working on the baddies. The smallest one has a current balance of $216 to Eagle Accounts. Original amount $119. (They update monthly and add $1 every month). Posted original date added is 10/14, with removal date as 10/21. It is also showing as my oldest account date. I am toying with doing a PFD to just get rid of it.
The concerns I have about this - I do not have the full account number. So not sure how to handle that. Plus, 2 years ago I had a life change and now I have a different last name then I did when this account was made, so how will they know how to find the account?
If you're talking about OC, OFD is very unlikely
PFD is reserved for CAs. With OC, you'd attempt GW removal after the account is paid off

The account number may be on your credit report. Also your SSN won't have changed when you changed your name, and they will most likely have that information attached to your account.
You may be past the SOL in your state depending on the DOFD. If you are, you're in a good position to negotiate as they can't take legal action against you (well, they can and some less reputable types might try, but they can't win). Get any promise to PFD from them in writing.

It is with a CA, not OC.
They can find the account, you dont need the account number.
Last 4 of SS, DOB, previoys address, previous name etc.

The account number is only partially shown on CR. So I include my ss# on Offer of PFD? I am pretty sure past SOL, if it goes from original date, not the 10/14 date shown on CR. I have not lived in the city of the OC since 2012.

I would never include more than the last four of your social on any correspondence and even then only if directly requested. The less personally identifying information there is of me floating around on random bits of paper, the better.
If you're looking to negotiate, it probably wouldn't hurt to call them and simply ask for that information. You don't have to worry about waking them up because you're planning to anyways. You might even be able to negotiate the PFD over the phone (but still request it in writing) if they're wiling to discuss it.
