I have been working dilligently to get my credit back on track. Really one of the first times in my life I've started taking it seriously and its been a process over the last year and a half. I had success with a couple collection agencies with PFD and OC's recalling debts by emailing the CEO on Collections that the agencies wouldn't do PFD. Will list them below. - Waiting for the reports to update as these were paid within the last week. - several other collections were paid and removed last year. I believe I started with 15 collection accounts. - After this, I should be down to 1-2.
IC Systems - ATT Uverse - $295 PFD
Ad Astra - Speedy Cash - $1095 dollars, settled for $600 and they delete if the account is 2 years old regardless of settled or PIF.
IC Systems - Sprint - $655 Dollars - They refused PFD so I contacted Sprint CEO by email. Received a call with in 2 days. Recalled Collection and PIF.
Robinson Reagan and Young - $395 - refused PFD. Utilitie collection for local electric. CEO emailed and recalled for PIF.
I also have two medical collections that should be covered by Financial assistance from when I was unemployed in 2018. Got the Financial assistance letter from the Hospital and sent over to the OC's last week and currently waiting for them to respond. Seems pretty positive that they will be recalled from the collection agencies and the balanace's wiped. $1,500 and $800.
I do still have a Repo with a balance reporting to EX and TU - 7K balance and DOFD was some time in the beginning of 2015. I never received the letter detailing the difficency from Auction but I think it may be best for me to just let this age off- If I can. They have updated over the last year that I have made several payments and it is current, however it isn't - I believe the creditor is listed as Autottrakk. And a rental collection of 10K that I didn't dispute at the time but fully regret as it wasn't damage done by me but a deck that had rotted and fell off the back of the house. The land lord said I was responsible for it but since I didn't care about my credit, I ignored it. It is with Online Information Services. We are trying to budget and plan to offer a settlement for both of these items but it likely wont be until early 2021 - and at that point, with only a year left for them reporting would it be worth paying 1000's? We don't have plans to move until 2023 at the earliest, he has the mortgage in his name and we would be looking at building after that point.
My spouse is OCD about finances and has been handling them since we moved in together - unfortunately I wasn't exactly transparent about my financial situation. After a come to Jesus with me we put together a plan of action. He has helped with budgeting, rebuilding, added me as AU on several of his cards and has paid off several CO'd credit cards (discover, Citi, First Progress and Cap1 date ranges 2015-2017) and helped me attack my Collections. My scores have gone from the mid 400's to 630-640's but I am looking forward to brighter days with credit.
I now have a Blaze MC - was one of the first I was approved for when I started rebuilding. Started as a $500 dollar limit, Auto increase to $600 and now is at $1,100. Got a CC from our Credit union in November of 2019 with a $1,500 dollar limit and then was approved for an Amex Delta Gold in March. I am also on two of our car loans. I know my scores are likely to be stalled here until the last collection comes off (Oct 2022) and then my charge off's between 2022-2024. I do leave a $100 dollar balance on my CU card and PIF the other two every month.
Great work, keep it up!
