New to taking charge of my score so wanted to see how best people advise I deal with this one (Last deragtory):
- Small bill from ATT unpaid from 6 years ago after a closed account. Shows under my credit as in collections from ERC.
- Called ATT and had them find the old account, paid it in full and asked about the ERC collections on CR.
- ATT Collections rep states that ERC is not listed on my account in any capacity as having the ability to come after me for this at any point. But it's still sitting there, 3 years old on my report.
How do I proceed? Should I dispute the collections? If so, through where? Should I call ERC?
