PRA question

So, randomly, PRA removed an account from EX and EQ.  It's still reporting to TU.  Thoughts?

Re: PRA question

They can certainly choose to remove prior reporting with any CRA.

That simplifies any subsequent need to provide updates, and also removes any disputes with the other two CRAs over accuracy of their reporting.

Unless there was a dispute that found a lack of verifcation of accuracy, they are free to reinsert at any time of their choosing.

Is the debt unpaid or contested?

Re: PRA question

This one is contested. I have another one with them that is unpaid and I will never be free of.

Re: PRA question

I have three accounts with PRA.    However, the original creditors ( US Bank cc,  CIT Dell Financial and Citi Best Buy ) ar no longer on any reports.   Is this common for the original creditor to drop off with PRA ?

Re: PRA question

Once a collection agency has the debt the original creditor can delete the account or not as they choose.
