Paying once a month or multiple times

Hey all:

I have been doing AZEO for several months now.  I also have been paying multiple times.  Given that I had past credit troubles several years ago, I NEVER want to go back to those days.  This month, I tried to just pay a few days before cut off (I do heavy spend on my 'good' cards -both AMEX, Disco, Lowes, etc. and the Subprimes are SD)...It was TOO stressful! Maybe as time goes on I won't be as anxious about it but it legit caused me way too much angst to do it now.  Wondering if anyone else is as nervous to do this?

Re: Paying once a month or multiple times

FICO-wise, it doesn't matter how many times per month or when you pay (as long as you pay before/on the due date).

For AZEO purposes, you may have to pay multiple times per month if your limit is small and/or you don't have enough to pay the entire current card balance in one payment. A good practice is to stop using a card maybe one week before its statement cutoff date and once the last pending transaction posts (hopefully within a day or two, or better yet try to have there be NO pending transactions a week before), pay off the entire balance. This way you're not cutting it close.

I relate... got so worried about payments this go around that Iv'e overpaid several times (did not realize how long it takes balances to clear). Just wanted to make sure that it's covered.

Re: Paying once a month or multiple times

I'm doing it right now with my BCP so I can hit the SUB. Approved for 1000. 3000 in 6 months is 250 statement credit. It sucks. But I want to get it over with much sooner. In time it leads to better CLI's depending on the lender.

I had my BCP just 1.5 months and they gave me a delta platinum skymiles.  The SUB is good on that one too.  BCP is great on cash back for a lot of surprising things

Nope, it doesn't matter how many times you pay per month.  All that matters is that you paid at least the minimum on time and what your balance/utilization on the account is.
