Has anyone ever had any luck with getting Pinnacle Financial to delete accounts from the credit report??
If so, what process did you take and does anyone have the email address associated with doing so?
Thank you, in advance, for all your input! ![]()
Thank you for the response.
I have paid the account in full, but am curious to see if there has been success with getting this removed from my report.
Do you/anyone have the email / address that you sent your request to?
I just got Pinnacle to delete last friday.
I sent them a DV certified mail and they didn't respond within the time allowed. I filed online disputes with the CRA's. Equifax emailed me stating it was deleted, Experian has removed and I assume Transunion will follow suit!
Music, I am not sure why your collection was deleted, but it was not as a result of their failure to timely respond to your DV letter
There is no time limit for response to a DV letter.
CRAs dont delete based on DV matters. They are not a party to this process, and it is not a credit reporting matter.
Maybe the debt collector ceased its assigned collection contract with the OC, or may they sold the debt to another debt collector.
I had a lot of trouble with Pinnacle. They were trying to collect an a very old utility debt that I know I paid when I moved. I DV'd multiple times and never received a response and disputed with CRA's, but it came back verified. Luckily, I documented my numerous DV attempts very closely and filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against them stating they were refusing to cooperate with me since they refused to send me any proof of the debt. I also threatened a letter to the Attorney General. They finally deleted after the BBB complaint.
Sure says a lot about the CRA dispute process, huh? They could never send me any proof, even after a Better Business Bureau Complaint, but yet they were able to "verify" the debt with the CRA. My perception of the CRA dispute investigation process:
CRA to CA: "is this accurate"
CA: "yep"
CRA: "thought so. thanks"
