So as some of you know I had trouble trying to get First Premier off my CR. after reporting inaccuracies they removed the TL. On Aug 26 I get a letter from First National Collection Bureau about an acct that has a different acct number and total "owed" as I don't own they since I paid off the original debt. It hasn't reported to my CR yet any suggestions on what I can do to get this taken care of?
Send them a request for debt validation, which will impose a cease collection bar on them, which will remain in effect until they have first provided validation of the debt.
Meanwhile, if you can obtain documentation from the creditor showing the debt was paid, you can then use that fo file dispute of the accuracy of their reporting if/when they validate and report to a CRA.
Should I type this letter or hand write it? And do I send this by certified mail?
I could be really use some help with this.
If they validate the paid debt, your next step is an ITS letter with copy of your proof of payment.
So I send that to the JDB? My original issue is my gf might have thrown away the letter from FP saying they deleted the acct due to inaccuracies but I did find the letter from Jefferson Cap saying I met the agreement made with them and will be deleted. So what should I do if I can't find the letter from FP?
