Progress and a question

So far, I've been approved for Walmart $600/Amazon $800/American Eagle $150/Old Navy $200/Target $200

I had one collection removed and a Chase charge off (paid) that finally fell off. My TU score started at 589 and it's showing 622 now. Yay! I need to get my util % down on my three capital one cards and I'm going to be paying off a Conn's installment loan on 9/30. I have one Capital One late reporting from 01/2013 - I thought I had the card on auto draft and apparently I messed the process up somehow. I'm trying to get a late removed from an old Conn's account from 2011. I'm also struggling with three collection accounts. One of which isn't mine, but they won't verify.

Ok, so here's my question....I've had a Capital One card for about 8 years. The limit has always stayed at $500.00, but I had some lates in late 2006 and 2007. Will those be deleted after they reach the 7 year limit? I'm going to work on the collections and baby my cards for the next year. I went on an app spree and I know have too many credit inquiries right now. Hopefully, my progress is encouraging!

Re: Progress and a question

Yes, after 7 years the lates will age off and the account will just be reported as positive. Since I am an impatient person I would try getting them off now. I would start sending off some GW's to Cap 1 explaining the auto draft situation. Even try the EO office.  I myself even had some success with them.
