Is there a difference between a judgment reporting as "civil claim paid" and "satisfied?"  I ask bcz the CA who collected is sending a letter to EX to update as "satisfied."  Right now it shows on EX as "civil claim paid."

Thanks for any help.

Re: Public Records

Yes and no, from a credit scoring perspective.

No, because civil suits and judgments remain in your CR for 7 years from their date of entry, not date paid.  FCRA 605(a)(2).

Yes, because, while it wont help in FICO scoring, a showing that you paid the debt and it is now considered as satified will make you look much, much better upon any manual review of your CR.
