Question about Credit Forums...

While I'm not new to forums and solving problems with them (the internet is awesome- you can do almost anything with a little reasearch, effort and the right forums) I AM new to the credit repair/building/FICO stuff.

This was the nicest run and organized forum I could find as it relates to credit, so I signed up and am glad I did.... but to start, I have a lot of old things on my credit, and for the purposes of deleting, disputing, and working on those, would those on here "in the know" suggest I also check out another forum that focuses on that side of things, or is this the ideal place for info on the repair/dispute type of problems....?

You can reply here or PM me your opinions, I know that sometimes other people have put in time with the whole trial and error thing, and if anyone has any pointers or ideal places to start, let me know....

In the meantime I'll be checking out this forum, once I can start building from the zero line, this is definitely the place to be.

Re: Question about Credit Forums...

Hi and welcome to the forums.

We are not a "credit repair" forum, we are a credit rebuilding forum.  Things that we suggest are all legal ways of doing things.  And they do work.

Personally, I have never been a member of any other forum.  I found this one almost 6 years ago and it helped me with everything I needed.

I believe you will find everything you need on this site to help you in your rebuilding efforts.  That and a lot of patience.  But, in the end it is well worth it.

If you are unsure on how to proceed, feel free to post accounts you need help with, omitting personal information.  Someone will help you.

If you have questions you are unsure about posting, you can PM myself or any other Moderator.

Re: Question about Credit Forums...

Excellent!   Thanks, Guiness!      That was the impression I got, that this was more about building and improving a rating rather than fixing damage... once I get my "damage" repaired, this seems like an awesome resource to learn to improve my rating...

Thanks for the kind welcome!  Smiley Happy

Re: Question about Credit Forums...

You can fix the damage.

But, the ways we offer on this site are all legal ways to do it.  Unlike credit repair sites that may use unethical ways to do it.
