Hi everyone!
Equifax finally deleted a disputed collections acount off of my credit report, my question is do I also have to put a dispute in the Transunion and Experian? or does Equifax notify them?
Thanks!

I believe you need to dispute each credit bureau separately
The short answer is no, the CRAs dont notify each other, except in the case of identity theft related information.
Under certain circumstances, the furnisher has the obligation ot report any correction or deletion to all CRAs to which they have also reported disputed information, but that applies only when the furnisher agrees that the info is inaccurate or unverifiable. Normally, no such admission is made.
If the CRA is the one who deleted, and not the furnsiher, then there is no requirment to notify other CRAs.
You'll definitely need to dospute with each of the other CRAs
A better approach is to first file a direct dispute, and forgo any dispute with an individual CRA.
That imposes on the furnisher the requirment to report any change or deletion with each CRA.
Something you might keep in mind in any future disputes.......
How does a direct dispute work, just curious?
Instead of filing the dispute via a CRA, you send it directly to the party who furnished the disputed information.
That party then must investigate the dispute and respond directly to you within the same period as is provided for a dispute via a CRA (usually 30 days).
You have the option of filing a dispute with a CRA, who then forwards it to the furnisher for their reinvestigation, or you can by pass the CRA and send it directly to the furnisher, thus ensuring they obtain all your documentation and comments.
See FCRA 623(a)(8) and the more specific implementing rules at 16 CFR 660.4 for details.
