Quick Question--Help ASAP

Hi----I hace CCa reporting my phone bill.

The OC is not reporting-----I was going to DV them today.

However, I got in the mail a letter from a different CA--Fidelity National Credit Services saying AT&T referred this to there office----Do I DV them also?

I assume you mean a "CA"?

You don't DV an original creditor since they're not bound by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

If you feel the original account is wrong, you'd send them an Original Creditor Investigation Letter -- basically, asking them to provide proof that the account is yours.

If you have two CAs trying to collect the same debt and you have contact info for both of them (you can also check for inquiries on your CRs - CAs love to ping your CRs looking to see if you're credit repairing), then send both a DV letter.
