Re: RJM, NCO, Midland - How/Who To Deal With/PFD?

I attempted a FAX PFD to "Credit Protection Associates". I then got the OC (COMCAST) to accept payment directly. I have seen here and elsewhere that they don't generally respond to disputes on paid accounts, and I had an open dispute when I paid.

I actually had a LONG conversation with Comcast to get an explination on how I could possibly owe anything. I looked back in my records and sure enough, my final payment had failed when I moved.

I called the Comcast call center in central PA to pay it, and requested they put in a note requesting deletion of the record.

The combination of all of this succeeded.

This may not apply to your situation, so sorry I can't be of much more help. That's why I didn't add it to my "here's how I did it" list.

Thank you. My situation is different. The account I have with CPA is Comcast but was opened fraudulently I am going to send a DV. They should not be able to Validate. If that doesn't work I will file a police report. Thanks again.
