If you have a payment arrangement for the charge off did you get a payfor deletion set up with the collection agency? is the collection agency the one reporting it or is it the original creditor?

The OC (Capital One) is still reporting. I was told by Captial One that they no longer hold the account as it is being serviced by the collection agency on behalf of Capital One. i asked and they stated they are not in control of how Capital One reports. the rep stated once it is paid in full they will notify Cap 1.
You should see if you can pull that account back from the collection agency back to capital one and pay it off with them personally. I don't have history with capitalone in this situation but it is wortha try.
******UPDATE*******
I received a letter from Focused Recovery and they stated they wanted to obtain more information in order to verify.
I have not heard anything from AFNI in response to my debit validation.
I have paid my VACU credit card down to $150.00, which is 30% of the balance.
My husband and I have just signed up for a NFCU secured card with a $500.00 limit.
I received response from VACU from my goodwill letter. No luck. I will try again next week.
I received a settlement offer from Verizon on one of the accounts. Does anyone know if their settlement offer will show on the credit report as paid as agreed or will it show settled for less?
Thanks again for your help!

It will not show paid as agreed since it was paid under a settlement. It will show as "Paid in settlement" or "settled for less than full balance".

With more questions..........
I applied for a Capital Once Secured Card and was denied
So I then tried my luck with fingerhut and was approved for a $230 fresh start account. So i now have my 3 tradelines, now is this when I start garden, correct?
My next question my husband needs his 3 tradelines to max his credit score. Does anyone have any suggestions on credit cards or lines of credit. I was thinking about him appyling for the fingerhut account as well, but i thought that would have been too much. He is joint on the navy federal secured card. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
We are still working on clearing up our co and negative tradlines.

St Dept FCU secured this one you can get with a SP if you put the funds in savings and app by phone, check with local CUs as well sometimes you can get unsecured with much lower scores. FNBO has a new secured card as well (the kickstart card). I would not get him a Finger Hut 1 in the family is enough, just get him his 2 more bankcards a store card can come later and it should be one that will be used.

Okay great. I submitted the application today and it said to allow 2-4 weeks for processing. I read in another thread that that is normal for FNBO as everything they approve requires manual processing. Wish him luck please. If he gets this he will be going into garden because his credit score doesn't need as much repair as mine.
Thanks again gdale for your help
