Hi, I just paid off all the collections on my report, But they will not remove them from my report. How do I go about this?

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Since you have paid them, you don't have a lot of leverage to use.  The only thing you can do now is start sending GW letters to have them removed.

Do a search on the forums for one.  Make it fit your situation.

Hi, I've been looking for the "GW" letters but cannot find them here, If Im lucky enough to have them removed, I will only have three items on my report is that a good thing or a bad thing? Also I just applied for a secured credit card from my bank, and Im waiting for an answer

Search for a good will letter.

What are the three remaining items.  Are they in good standing?  Are they open accounts that update monthly?

In order to get a FICO score you will need 6 months of credit reporting.

As long as these are in good standing, start working on the GW letters for the others.
