Removing Paid Collections from Credit Report

I have 3 paid in full accounts that I paid to the collection agency that are on my credit report.  I know that I should have done a Pay for Delete but it's too late now.  I know that I can do GW letters, which I plan to do.  Is there any point in simultaneously attempting to dispute these records on some trivial ground hoping that the CA won't bother to respond and therefore result in a deletion?  Is it bad to try to do both the GW and dispute?  If there is a point in trying to dispute, which might be the best reason to dispute that would result in them ignoring the disputes?

Not sure if it matters, but one is a small local CA, the other two are ERC and LVNV.

Thanks.

Re: Removing Paid Collections from Credit Report

Usually paid collections are pretty easy to get removed.   I would do the goodwill letters first and point out that you paid in full and did not ask for a discount.   Try to kill them with kindness.   It's not skin off their nose to help you out.   Then if they don't respond favorably, start a major disputing campaign including letters to the BBB, CFPB, etc.   They are in business to collect money and it's a waste of their money and resources to deal with you.   So start off sweet and kind and then turn ugly if need be.   I bet kind works.

Re: Removing Paid Collections from Credit Report

I had one go to collections 3 years ago and paid it immediately. Have recently been sending Good Will letters and emails asking if they would remove but they won't respond at all. You would think they would at least answer. Nope
