I have two collections:
One has a zero balance that I paid off in 2007 (original amount of $58)
I had a balance of $29 on the other that dates back to 2009.
I sent a DV on both accounts in January. They replied with statements from Pathology Company.
They did not respond to PFD fax, email or mailing.
I decided to bite the bullet and call.
She said my account was noted of all my attempts to PFD but their policy is that they will not send a settlement offer PERIOD.
I Paid her over the phone and she said she was mailing a letter to me today saying that both collection accounts would be deleted.
I know its a big No No to pay before having anything in writing but Im tired of waisting my time over $29 bucks!

UPDATE! Both were deleted as promised by SCA and I will hold onto the letter they mailed me

WOW! Congratulations! There are two collections on my college-age daughter's credit report of lab bills that I was unaware of, so I need to try to get these off of her CR. Do you have any suggestions of who I should talk to when I call them? If you could email the information to me, I really would appreciate it! Any help you could give me would be great.
