I have a legal item under "Public Records" on my report from 2005 that is payed for and done. Does anyone know what the statue of limitations is for something like that? I am located in AZ and from what I think it looks like 6 years. Just wasn't sure if there was special SOL for things like that.
If the account is paid and done, then the SOL of your state or any state wouldn't matter. It only involves the unpaid status and their ability to sue and get a judgement on you. I assume you are referring to the CRTP (Credit Reporting Time Period) which marks how long it can stay on your CR. This is 7 years + 180 days from the DOFD (Date of First Delinquency).
Odd, I just went to dispute it online with EQ and it doesnt show, BUT it is showing on my scorepower report. Maybe it hasnt updated yet?
It should have been hitting the CRTP mark anytime now anyway. Looks like it might have fallen off.
