SRM Sprint Collections Help

I've been on a credit repair crusade for a little over a year now and at this point the last thing I'm working on is getting this collections account off my history. Long story short, sprint never gave me all the signup bonuses they guaranteed despite getting BBB and EO involved, they directed me to Visa for a fraud investigation which came back inconclusive, so I refused to pay Sprint the amount they owed me. This amount for something like 575 went to collections. I disputed and had it removed multiple times because every time it just went to the next CA. Then it got sold to Source Receivable Management, who for some reason kept winning the disputes that I had previously won with other CA's. SRM just wouldn't go away or leave me alone, tried to PFD, but they refused to, and I only ever got to talk to this one very angry lady. Finally they agreed to settle for the actual amount I owed Sprint once the signup bonuses were calculated in, and they also agreed to report as PIF, but naive me never got it in writing. So now they've been reporting as settled, a dispute with TU got it dropped from my report altogether, but EQ and EX have been siding with SRM. Any ideas/suggestions for how to remove?

Re: SRM Sprint Collections Help

If, after resolution of a dispute, you still contest the legitimacy of a collection, such as by assertion that the debt is not legit, and thus any atttempt at collection is improper, you then have the ability to get the matter reviewed by full evidentiary evaluation of the postition of both parties, as opposed to only the verification by the debt collector in response to an admin dispute, by filing a civil action and using the discovery and trial process to obtain a full review and legal judgment as to the validity of the debt.

If you get a judgment from a court affirming your position that the debt is not valid, then the collection becomes inaccurate, and the resolution of the civil judgment can be used to require deletion of the collection.

The only problem is sprint has enough documentation to support that I owed them the $575, and their records show that they mailed the $300 in signup credits in the form of a prepaid visa card. I never received them, but visa's fraud investigation just concluded that someone spent the money and they couldn't definitively say whether or not it was me, which was enough for both the BBB and CRAs to side in sprint's favor, therefore validating the balance in dispute. I only owed them $275 and thats what I settled for with the debt collector. I just want them to report PIF or delete it rather than reporting settled, they originally agreed to report it PIF. Unfortunately I never got it in writing before I paid them, definitely a lesson learned there.
