Hi,
After a year of working on our credit, it's finally coming up! I am actually at 611 Experian on (Credit.com) and 603 EQ (credit Karma) and 519 TU (credit Karma). Hubby is at 541 TU & 544 EQ (credit Karma) and 600 Experian (credit.com).
I am anxious to get a Walmart and/or Target Card before anything happens for the scores to decline! I always expect the worst when the scores start to climb! LOL
What score do we need to be approved for them? Is there a SCT to get them? I love soft pulls (VS was that)
I have Cap 1 QS, Cap 1 Platnium. Fingerhut, Victoria Secrets, First Premiere bank (oldest card just made 1 yr) and I also have a loan on my credit all in good standing!
Hubby has First Premiere Bank (oldest card 1 yr) and is authorized on Cap 1 QS and Cap 1 Platnium.
Thanks for any help or advise.

Other poster is spot on - do not rely on those scores at all.
First off - don't get addicted to the SCT. I would suggest no more than two store cards, and three bank cards *minimum* - even if you have to go secured for the third one. The SCT will land you in "toy card hell" if you overdo it.
Walmart sent me a preapproval in the mail when my TU FICO 8 score hit about 620 or so. when I broke 640 I got bumped up from $500 to $1200, then I called in a few days later and got it increased to $3k.

Before applying for anything get your true FICO scores, those sites use alternate score types. Creditchecktotal (FICO 08 scores that most lenders use) has a 7 day trial for $1 and if you cancel before the end of the trial they usually offer the service at half price (15/month).
Thanks. Those sites aren't that far off though. I've only used them and their recommendations for Cap 1 and they've been right on target. I don't like Creditchecktotal, charged my husband $50 for reports and he never requested them!
Thanks Norman. Guess I'll have to wait. VS is a perfect limit. I was shocked I got it and my daughter is over the moon that I got it! LOL I'm letting her use it as long as she pays for it. I'm not that into VS, just wanted it to up my CC usage. I really want a Walmart, Babies/Toys R US and Bath and Body Works cards. I'm good with the bank cards I have. If I have a Walmart card, I can use it instead of a bank card! LOL

"those sites" often vary far more than your true FICO scores will. For example, when my UTI went down and then back up, my FICO scores moved up and down 10-18 points while my CK and CS scores moved 75 points. You simply cannot put any stock in their scores.
You can use your Victoria's Secret card at Bath and Body Works. They don't have their own card.
