Secured CC question

I am thinking of opening a secured credit card through opensky.  I am looking at starting with $300-500.

Has anyone put more of a deposit down a few months later and had  another credit score boost from having a credit limit increased?

Also does anyone know of any other secured credit cards with NO CREDIT checks that graduate to unsecured?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Secured CC question

I don't know of any other cards with no credit pulls. You might be better served by cleaning up your reports if they are keeping you from getting any secured cards. Have you tried Capitol One?

Re: Secured CC question

I am looking to buy a house this summer hopefully.  I can't have any hard pulls right now.  I need one to two more credit cards though to show more payment history.

Thanks!

Do you know if this card will graduate to unsecured at some point?

What do you currently have for open accounts?

More is not always better... You could end up lowering your scores with new accounts. A lender will certainly see recent accounts as well as any hard pulls, so you're not really "hiding" anything with this strategy.

I have a chase with a 12.5 credit line.

The mortgage comapany told me I need more revolving but if I want a house this summer I can't have any hard pulls.

Re: Secured CC question

You might check FHA loans, as the underwriter might accept alternative credit (cell phone history, etc).  Hope this helps.

That just does not make any sense. I would check with another mortgage broker.
