So Sad - Bed Bath and Beyond

I forgot about a purchase in late November for $6.11 and obviously didn't pay attention to statements as I thought I had zero balance. Today I got hit with a 30 day late... paid attention to that from Transunion. I immediately went on and paid the $30 it had become, but I'm so sad for a 30 day late for my inattention. I was doing so well.

Dang, that sucks. Autopay! I use it for everything if possible. And I double check all my card accounts anyways, even when I haven't used them.

I went ahead and cancelled the card. If I don't use it enough that I forgot about the $6, I don't need the card. SIGH!

This is exactly why I always use auto pay on all of my cards for the minimum balance and then I usually go in and manually pay more.  I also have the BBB card.  My BBB and Target cards are the only two of my five store cards that I actually regularly use because of their perks.

sorry to hear that...

i never had AutoPay setup for any account because i check regularly, but then i read a post on here, about someone who ended up in the hospital for 2-3 weeks and experienced a bunch of lates due to it

i went and setup AutoPay for all accounts, just for the minimum amount

you can still go in and manage your payments as you choose - but that is your safety blanket

also, you have a list of CC's that you may want to pare down - the more you have, the more opportunity for an issue like this

Yes, I normally have everything on Autopay, this one for some reason I didn't. Lesson learned the hard way. 

There are quite a few cards I can get rid of. Petco and Playstation for one. Ollo I haven't used in like a year. Nothing has a balance.

Sorry about that. If you want a tad higher score. Use your Ollo so it doesnt get closed. Fill up the tank and pay it after the statement date. No cards reporting a balance is a 15-20pt ding. The new 30 day may hold it back some. But every little bit helps.

Sorry that happened. Just keep trying for GW and make sure autopay is set up and make sure to stay on top of ALL accounts.
