Receivable Management Systems (RMS) collects for Patient Care; today I got verbal promise to have my derogatory removed from all CRA's
Here's a chronological list of how I did it:
- Bill from Patient Care (Jan 2014) went into collections around May 2014 and appeared on TU and EQ (never listed on EXP)
- Feb 2015 - paid the bill in full, could not get a PFD from RMS, only got a letter that it was paid in full
- March 2015 - Account was reported as Paid in full after collection with $0 balance on TU and EQ
- April 2015 - wrote a GW letter to RMS but did not get any reply
- Last week - I called RMS to follow up on my GW letter, collections manager confirmed she received my letter but needed a couple days to get approval from her manager and prepare the deletion letter
- Today - I called again, same manager said the deletion letter was sent electronically to all 3 CRA's on Tuesday and the account will be deleted as it never happened within 72 hours. I was also promised a copy of that same letter for my records.
So far I can see it was completely deleted from Equifax already, TU should be next

I actually received a letter in the mail for RMS, stating that the account was returned to the OC, all collection activity would cease and any derogatory information will be deleted from the 3 CRA's
So today I saw this derogatory finally removed trom TU,, it was removed from EQ a few days ago and EXP never reported it. This GW approach worked!! thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I just re-read the letter I received from the CA(RMS) and it says that the OC requested the account to be returned, all collection activity to cease and any derogatory information removed from the CRA's.
This would make sense, given that I sent a GW to the OC and CA at the same time.
I also sent the OC a copy of the PIF letter from the CA and explained to the OC that I was under the impression that my health insurance had paid for the quick care visit but later I discovered my insurance had lapsed for one month due to a glitch in COBRA/Healthcare Act, but as soon as I learned of the bill I paid it in full.
I'm glad they showed a little compassion and deleted the entire TL
