Surge

Anybody know about the surge credit card. I did the pre-qual and up until now it said I'm sorry we can't make you an offer. But today it's saying one last step we link to your checking account to verify. When I click the button it says the link is down. Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance to any responses

Re: Surge

Also can anybody tell me what are the better subprime credit cards and I don't want to go to the secured route.

I burned Capital One so I can't go back to them.

Thank you

Re: Surge

@virgo Have you paid Capital One off?  Once paid off their memory isn't that long.

Better options than Surge (feel free to research Surge, they are not a good option):

Credit One
Aspire

Avant

Petal 1

You don't mention scores, or anything else.

If your not dead set against secured - Discover IT, NFCU, or a local CU/Bank could offer a secured.

Secured cards are actually a better route than subprime cards. Especially if you can get one with a major lender that actually graduates such as Citi, US Bank, Discover, or Navy Federal.

And even if you burned Cap One, they'll usually allow you back in fairly quickly. Have you tried running their prequal?

Re: Surge

I agree with @OmarGB9  the secured cards could graduate within 6 months. And then you could qualify for prime cards. Discover is a good one, try their pre-qualification, it's pretty solid if you're pre-approved. There are better subprime cards, surge has tons of fees. Try Mission Lane pre-approval.
