Hi all,
So to make this short.. I opened a Target Credit Card in 2016 and racked up $5,000 in debt and lost my job so I couldn't pay it back monthly. In 2019, I got sued by Target and got a lawyer and made the appropriate payments every month until I paid the debt off in July 2020. CreditKarma is showing Closed as the account status with the following remarks [ Payment after charge off/collection, Settled - less than full balance].
Is there anyway for me to remove this off my credit report or am I totally out of luck? I tried to get the lawyer to agree to let me pay it off with a delete, but the creditor/judge wasn't having it.
All criticism is accepted.

Original creditors rarely do PFD. Once paid the only option you have is to start on a GW (goodwill) campaign to have it removed. Otherwise you have to wait for it to age off or when it is within 6 months of aging off, you can start working thru each bureau for EE. Sounds like it will be in 2023 or later, though.
I would definitely search the forum for the GW technique! Basically it is a short letter to EO level employees staying what happened, take accountability, apologize, explain it was rectified and any preventative measure for in the future and kindly ask for removal.
Good luck!
No judge would ever agree to a deletion. TD/Target are legally required to report accurate info.
Target will not remove a CO. That will be on report for 7 years from DOFD. It's possible to have lates removed, using GW letters. Late removals really won't help increase score, because of CO status. Having it paid helps, since it won't be constantly updating.
Here's the link and process for writing GW letters and using Saturation Technique.
Thanks so much @blindambition - I will read through this and give it a shot.
Thanks @Anonymous - I will give the GW letters an attempt, I guess at the end of the day I have nothing to lose and will just attempt to give them a shot.

While I agree getting lates removed would be pointless because of the CO status, if OP can somehow get TD Bank to remove the derogatory TL altogether, that would be a huge win.
OP, I'm not saying it's likely, because as has been previously mentioned, OCs rarely delete, but it is plausible.
