I was recently added as an AU to an AMEX Platinum card it reported on EQ and TU a few days ago.
On here it shows on my TU that my Util is at 42%. I put everything into an excel spreadsheet and it seems that the AMEX which reported a balance of $8997 and shows a high balance of $14720 is being included in my Utilization calculations with the high balance counting as the credit limit.
I thought charge cards are not counted in Util? EQ is not counting it in Util and there it shows my actual Util at 25%
Why do charge cards report balances if they have to be paid in full every month. This is my sisters account and I know she pays in full every month but she's not concerned with reporting dates etc, so she probably pays close to the statement due date.
I'm thinking now that this AU account may be more of a burden on my credit than it will help. Only reason I was going to leave it alone is because I plan to app for an Amex sometime next year and would like to get it backdated to who she added me as an AU.
Should I leave it alone or get it removed?

Thanks for the response Guiness. Do the other TU models count charge cards in Util?
The only benefit of this AU account for me would be for backdating purposes at a later date if I get my own AMEX card. It lowered my AAoA since it was reported as opened in 5/13 and atleast on the TU 08 scoring model its hurting my Util.
If I have my sister close the account now would I still be able to get AMEX to give me a member since date of 5/13 when I apply for my own AMEX next year?
It seems like my best course of action is to just get this account off my reports. If she removes me as an AU do we need to request that AMEX remove the reporting from my CR?
