Just wanted to let some of you know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. 9 years ago I got in financial trouble and lost my home to foreclosure, had my truck repod but got it back and everything just kept snowballing. I was in a bad place and so I went and filed Ch13. In hindsight 7 would probably have been better but anyway.... I got relief and moved on and lived on a cash basis and basically under a credit rock for the last 7 years because I didn't realize I could rebuild until about 8 months ago. So I started studying and found this site and it's been a life changer for me.
My new journey started 6 months ago. Below I will outline the highlights.
Jan 2016= No scores Ch13 only thing reporting
Jan 2016= Cap 1 secured card SL $351
Jan 2016= BofA secured card SL $300
Feb 2016= Secured credit builder loan with local credit union in the amount of $2500
March 2016= $500 secured loan with Alliant CU
April 2016= Ch13 fell of reports
June 2016= Financed 2015 Chevy truck for $35,000 with my local CU @ 6% for 66 months
July 18= Genersted scores and pulled from this site, EQ 716, TU 726, EX 729
July 19 = applied for CC with local CU for $5000, still pending
July 20= Approved for Cap1 Platinum SL $1000
