So I'm looking to get a mortgage in 24 months or sooner if I can. My Experian score is a terrible 530 will pull the others if recommended. Need to get it as high as I can in months to qualify for a mortgage ASAP.
No credit cards currently (USAA still reporting on a monthly basis I'm late). One current car loan. $95K annual verifable income.
Mostly collection issues but I also have a judgement on a balloon loan that resulted in a boat reposession. I have some extra cash right now to make payments on the collection accounts but the boat repo (judgement for $45,608 (9/2009) and collection (Tri-State - 7/2011) for for $27,147)) I can't possible pay off.
I'm most curious how to go about getting started. I'll do the letters/work myself. Do I need to start with DVs to all of them? Should I list what's in my CR so I can get direction? Sorry I'm just looking for direction. Thank you in advance.

Yes with amounts and dates they will fall off
Welcome to the forum
Thank you! How do I know when they'll fall off....7 years from open date or last reported date? Sorry for the remedial question.

Says something like
This account is scheduled to continue on record until 2017
doesn't show that on the Experian report I have...signed up fof the FICO service but have to verify account tomorrow as they're closed now.

Closed date will do for baddies as we can count 7 yrs from there ![]()
Accounts in good standings up to 10 yrs
It's from Experian.com...I signed up for the service here but I answered one of the security questions wrong and I can't activate it until in the morning. Do I need to wait or is the neccasary information here? I don't see a closed date on any of the CAs or OC account some of which are also closed.
So I have:
Account Name
Balance
Past Due
Date Opened
Account Status - All show "Closed"
Mo Payment - All blank
Payment Status - all say "seriously past due..."
High Balance - All blank
Limit - All blank
Terms
Comments
Then a timeline at the bottom with "KD" put in on various dates in the past. Not sure if the last reported one is the closed date or not.
Thanks for the direction!

Question this account shows as it was opened 6/1/2012 and not sure what KD is but it looks like last payment was 8/2012
Does that sound correct to you 2 months before default?
