I joined here in March 2024 with horrible scores, multiple charge-offs, and a handful of collections.
I wanted to come back and say there is always hope with time, and to thank everyone for all the advice along the way. Today, my final charge-off fell off Equifax, which was the last derogatory mark I had left.
It almost doesn’t feel real coming from sub-500 scores back in 2019 to finally having all three reports clean. Since joining this site and taking in the sound advice shared here over the years, I’ve been able to purchase my first-ever new car, and I now feel confident that I’ll be in a much better position to buy my first home with the best rates possible soon.
Thank you again to everyone here who shares advice, data points, and encouragement. This forum has helped me a lot over the years.
