This is my first post. My FICO scores are fives across the board however Wells Fargo dealer services has decided that they're going to charge off my vehicle. They're not repossessing it which is a good thing however the charge-off probably is going to bring my scores down even more. I have a huge amount of student loan debt onward and upwards of $70,000. I have had recent job changes a decrease in income and no way to help myself out of this mess. Student loans become due this month, after deferment and forbearance. I did pay on them for a little while..
it was a very small amount based on income. I am planning on redoing my income-based payment plan. I do have some positives on my credit reports but they are very small and one is about to fall off. I have one credit card a Capital One Platinum. I have a medical collection a collection from DirecTV and to credit card collections. All these, coupled with the charge- off, probably will make my scores go down even further. I know how to do paid to delete. However my question is if I go through the process of paying off these collections getting them removed from my credit report will my score see an increase? Or because of the charge-off which I do plan on paying. coupled with the enormous student loan debt keep me down until they're taking care of? I just need some input. I have personal loans that I have paid off with no issues. For some reason it is so much easier for me to get loans than credit cards. The two credit cards in collections are a Citi card and a Chase. Both were related to my ex-husband's nationality because he was British and I did a lot of traveling with those cards. I had a repayment plan with my Discover card, but they closed my account in February even though I made Regular faithful on Time payments for 2 years. My Experian is 577 and my TransUnion is a 523 and my Equifax is 540. I know that I can't dispute and/or get the collections and charge-off removed from my report because they are my credit activity. I just need some input on what my first step might be in order to dig myself out of this pile of trash. Any input would be greatly appreciated thank you
