Depends on the date the accounts were opened.

Are they deleting the entire trade line?

It could affect your credit history.

I had a $5k charge off from 2007 deleted and it only increased 10 points.

@terrie: it was an overdraft from a bank account that rjm collection agency bought.... The collection posted on my EX 3 days ago @frugal: these 2 were my recent ones...i have 2 more collections from 4 yrs ago that am gonna try to pfd

UPDATE: RJM collections finally removed the account off of my EX after I paid them off last week!!!!! no increase in score though.... but there were very easy to deal with
