I opened an Upgrade Visa account for the Line if Credit reporting in order to help my credit mix.
Worst mistake. Truly an incompetent, utterly frustrating company to deal with.
1. Balance consistently reporting inaccurately on all 3 bureaus. (Reports as a $4098 balance on a $4000 line of credit when the remaining balance is $3700).
2. Balance is not updating at all on Transunion. Last update was September.
3. It is impossible to get a supervisor on the phone. Promised call-backs by a supervisor never occur.
4. Customer service reps know nothing.
5. Extended wait times to talk to someone. 75-90 minute waits are frequent.
6. “Support” via email never responds.
7. Filing an internal dispute form to request correction of an account takes between 60-90 days to be investigated, if ever.
8. Reps lie and tell you they will submit a "form" for you and that you will hear back in 3 days.
9. Upgrade spams you daily to get you to apply for another product.
10. While I'm just guessing, based on their performance in other areas, I'm sure their fraud and purchase dispute processes are horribly frustrating and incompetently administered.
11. When you set up a one-time payment, there is no way on the website to confirm the payment is going to be made as scheduled, and no way to change/edit it without calling and enduring a 75-90 minute wait to talk to someone.
I opened the account in September. Paid it all off on November 15th. Never again with this company. Lesson learned here.
Hopefully its closed. If not you know what to do. One of the reasons I call it vulture cards. They take advantage of people with everything you mentioned and then some. Their ads look great. The rest is much to be desired. If you can go with a reputable secured bank card. Do so. These things wont happen. Sorry you had to deal with this situation. Hopefully now its in the past. Before you apply. Please come here and get the gangs opinions on any card your interested in before you app. I did after BK. And they were never wrong as a whole. Good Luck!

Thanks, @FireMedic1 .
I gave it a shot only to have the LOC on my CR, but it's just more trouble than it's worth, I took out only a small amount ($4000) and ended up paying it off right away once I realized how utterly deficient this company is. They sure didn't get the intere$t they thought they would get from me. I'm closing it as soon as it updates correctly.
The company portrays itself as a cool, hip alternative to rhe traditional companies, but they are just incompetent.
The positive side of the $4000 being in my BofA account briefly is that it pushed me over into the Platinum Honors Rewards ($100,000) category a month early based on the 3-month average. It did so by only costing me a few dollars in interest. I'm good with that. Plus it's a lesson learned.
I really need to focus on gardening now. I got my Chapter 13 DC on 1/5/21, and since fhen have acquired:
BofA Customized Cash Visa $5000
TD Cash Visa $1500
Capital One QS $3000
Capital One World Elite Walmart MC $2000
Ollo Rewards MC $2500
Mercury Rewards MC $3050
Jasper Rewards MC $5000
Merrick Visa $2000
Only the TD has an AF but it is secured and due to graduate and then, no AF.
My utilization is sitting at 1% and I practice AZEO. FICO 8s are bumping (or beyond) 700. Chapter 13 was the best decision I ever made. I paid off 100 percent; got my discharge 1.5 years early and, thanks to a large increase in pay, was able to save like crazy after that.
I will happily tell them to take this Upgrade mess and shove it.
Thanks for responding. You read my mind. It's not even worthy of being sock drawered.
Good job so far with rebuilding. Yeah its garden time and let those accounts age and you'll pass 700 soon. Setting up nicely from when your DC'ed. Congrats and so long Upgrade.
Got a card/loc with them
Won't use it
After I found it reports wierd I decided not to use it.
Might be fun to cut the card into small bits

I have a card with these guys---3k limit. Used it a few times, payed in full both times. Doesn't report 3k limit, but reported balance owed. Next month it was back to 0 balance, both times. No problems to speak of. I cannot get anyone on the phone either, but reallyhave no need for that. It sits with 3k on a card I can use like a credit card, that doesn't report as a revolver--
Is it a credit card or a line of credit? I have seen so many reviews stating each and some say both? Can someone explain how it works It is a LOC but on a card. So lets say you want to take a 2K LOC from your card ... it does it that way ? Also I read there's like a charger for every 1000.00 'withdrawn'
I have two upgrade cards. My first approval was the basic green card with a 3K limit about two months ago. I transferred the entire 3K to my bank and I made four payments during the two months of owning the card. Two months later I applied for the Bitcoin Rewards Visa and was approved for 15K and immediately transferred the entire amount to my bank to consolidate credit card debt. I then paid off the remaining balance of the 3K loan and essentially rolled it into the larger loan so that I can focus on paying off one loan instead of two. Although the interest rate is high for both approvals, the second card was about 3 percentage points lower. My payments are $621 for 3 years but I plan on making an extra payment of $400 each month which should allow me to pay off the loan in 18 months and save on a considerable amount of interest.
