US Bank 30 day late

In April of this year, I had a 30 day late with US Bank on a card.  I had set it up for auto pay, on my phone, but didn't click the last step to actually activate it.  I wasn't receiving calls from US Bank, because my phone carrier sent them all to spam, and they left 3-4 second VM's with nothing.  I didn't notice this until after the late was already there....

I called US Bank and got transfered from here to there and so forth.  Nobody seemed to know anything about a courtesy removal or anything.  One rep gave me a fax number to send a letter to, which I did.  I received notification back a few weeks later indicating that the information was correct.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this, or do I just let it ride?  My credit is decent, working on the snowball method to pay balances off and bring scores up each month.

Thanks

Re: US Bank 30 day late

When making payments on phone especially. Its best to take a screenshot of the confirmation numbers/letters after payment is fully paid. I keep a file of confirmations in notepad for each creditor. It was a mistake. Yes. After 2 yrs a 30 day loses its ding. US Bank isnt known for GW's. Sorry it happened. But Im sure it wont again. And yes work on the baddies for the future.
