OMG! So get this. After spending an hour fighting with Equifax on a dispute on the "normal" Equifax phone numbers gives me the number to the Equifax Office of Consumer Affairs. He gives me a local non-800 type number and tells me to call them. So, I call and someone answers the phone "Equifax" on the first ring. No automated system, no crap, and someone that speaks english for a change. I just spent literally 2 hours on the phone with this woman who was more than helpful. She even went as far as bridging in the creditor on a conference call, the creditor verified it was inaccurate, and she deleted it off my report. We then went thru my whole report line by line and she fixed some things. So, once I got off the phone with her, I decided to do a Score Power report with Equifax (FICO) and my score raised 73 points. I mean literally 73 points in 2 hours. Nothing else changed on my report since yesterday when my score was lower. So, for giggles, I call again, and get a different person on two rings. Talk to them, disputed a bunch of inquires and also a late payment. Wow, I'm in awe. Just wow. Here is the phone number: 678-795-7820 They answer on the first ring and its a real person. I posted this in another thread also so people would see it.
