Waypoint, Eastern Accounts, Credit collection services! Need help! On a roll!

Hello everyone,

Sorry if I am troubling everyone with my posts since last couple of days. But I am on a roll and don't want to stop. 

I have 6 baddies on my account and my Fico 8 scores are horrible in their 400s. After lurking on this forum for over 5 months, I decided to do it and take the my fico challenege. 

Last couple of days I called WFDS and BofA. WFDS refused to take the payment and would provide me with the title (I would say its a win since I didn't have $4200 to pay it off and settlement would've been huge). I managed to reach a 37% settlement with BofA. I don't have enough money to pay it off in full. 

I wanted to know if any of you guys have experience with following collection agencies. I am trying to see if I can get PFD in return of a settlement. 

1) Waypoint Resource Group/Comcast - $766

2) Eastern Account System/Frontier - $122

3) Credit Collection Services/Progressive - $545

4) Eversource (Not a collection agency)

Any and all responses would be appreciated. 

I also want to thank you all for being so kind and helpful. Makes me think there is still humanity left in this world. People helping others whom they don't even know.

Also wondering about Waypoint Resources as I have a collection that is 2 years old. Not sure how to approach.

You can send a letter offering a pay for delete. There are samples in the forum just search "pfd sample letter". I think waypoint and credit collection services might do pfd but not sure. I got waypoints deleted because they were reporting an account I already paid and settled on with a different CA.
You can search pretty much any OC or CA and if anyone else has dealt with then you will be able to read their stories and see which ones are stubborn CAs and which are more laid back.

Hi there, I just settled two accounts with waypoint. They offered a settlement for roughly 60% of what was owed. They wouldn't agree to a pdf but the representative told me in so many words of how to get it done. Take the settlement they offer you, then wait 3 to 4 days and then dispute the information. Once it is disputed they will tell the CA to delete the information. Hope that helps.
These were the first 2 to be deleted on my rebuild. Portfolio recovery is next.

Yes a couple of days after I disputed the accounts they were removed. Experian and transunion on the same day, Equifax came about a week later.

how did you dispute it after you settled? letter or online. and what was your dispute reason if i may ask. i have way point on mine now trying to get it deleted.

I called the each CRA and disputed as waypoint balances incorrectly reported. The rep I talked to at waypoint said they won't bother after payment is made.

I know it has been about a year now but did you end up trying this approach? If so may I ask how it went?

thinking about trying this approach but am afraid to risk them changing the collection to paid rather than removing it and then I'm out of leverage.
