What do you write on the back of the check?

What do you write on the back of a check when you send it in? I have accounts that I have reached an agreement to settle. I understand you can write something on the back that keeps the CA from coming back after you for the difference? Please help, I need to send these out ASAP.

What you are talking about is "restrictive endorsements".

Before you do that, you need to check your state statutes on restrictive endorsements.

Do you not have anything in writing from the CA stating the agreement?

I have letters offering to settle for a certain amount, and on others they told me what they would settle for over the phone. I am deployed to afghanistan and don't have time to wait for the new offer letters to show up (could take months). I am accompanying the payments with letters stating who I called with, when and what was agreed upon. 

The military sees debt as being a security risk, I have to get these paid off fast or I could Lose my job!!!

 SO WHAT SHOULD I WRITE ON THE BACK OF THE CHECK???

BTW my home state is georgia
